What People Are Saying

"Amar is great!"

"Definitely one of the best PT’s out there. He helped me work through my hip pain, discovering the mobility issues that were causing my pain. And Amar doesn’t just work with you in person. He goes above and beyond, critiquing my lifting form and posture through videos while out of town, and emailing me specific exercises to help improve my overall alignment!" – Isaih K.

"Definitely a 5-star PT!"

"Amar is great! I had two experiences with both my father and daughter. He treated my father in short-term rehab to get him back on his feet and home and was very informative and helpful in his recovery. After that, he helped my daughter recover from a knee injury and was very insightful on getting a teenager to comply with doing the exercises! If you need PT, I definitely recommend going to Everstrong and seeing Amar; no matter what the age or injury, he is very well rounded and will help!" – Karla S.

Got Questions About Physical Therapy?

Our Most Frequently Asked Questions

What do physical therapists do?

Physical therapists are experts in movement and function, so they do not confine their talents to only treating people who are ill. Physical therapists provide services to athletes of all levels and abilities to screen for potential problems and institute preventive exercise programs.

The cornerstones of physical therapy treatment are therapeutic exercise and functional training. In addition to "hands-on" care, Physical Therapists also educate patients to take care of themselves and perform specific activities independently. Depending on the particular needs, Physical Therapists may also "mobilize" a joint (that is, perform certain types of movements at the end of your range of motion) or massage a muscle to promote proper training and function.

What makes physical therapy a good choice of care?

With more than half of all Americans suffering from pain, whether acute or chronic, pain management is a widespread problem that commonly results in missing work, opioid use, and dependency. Physical therapists are experts at treating movement and neuro-musculoskeletal disorders. Since pain often accompanies a movement disorder, physical therapists can help correct the condition and relieve pain.

Can a physical therapist diagnose my problem?

In most states, physical therapists cannot make a medical diagnosis. Medical diagnosis is provided by your primary care physician, who will then refer you to physical therapy when appropriate. While physical therapists are essential members of your medical team, physicians are typically the healthcare providers that will provide you with a medical diagnosis.
